Maybelline eye studio eyeshadow combo's :]

Maybelline recently came out with their new Eye Studio line. and i did buy 2 of their products.

-The Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow. (Quad) This is the one i have, purple icon. :]

although i wish this was a little more pigmented. i actually really like this product :]. the colors are pretty vibrant. and i just love the combinations they have. :]. one of my Maybelline faves :]. One con, doesn't last as long as i wish. but pretty good for a drugstore eyeshadow quad.

Swatches (i'm sorry about the picture quality :/)

i also have, The Eye Studio Color pearls marbleized Eyeshadow (Duo).

The color here is Silver Starlet.

- yet another product i enjoy. like the quad, doesn't last as long as i would like, but the colors are vibrant. great combinations. a little warning, when/if i pack this on, there is fallout. besides tat, great results :].

i honestly love these 2 products and am actually surprised, i usually don't enjoy buying drugstore eye shadows. but i have to say not bad :], and a thumbs up for both. i have had these products for about 3 months together :]. i do recommend.

any questions, just ask :]

XOXO, Dayna.

Product i regret -__-

we have all had one or a few there. products we regrettt. so here is one.. the Cover girl Smokey Shadow Blast. because of how amazing the lash blast mascaras are, i was kinda excited to try this out, and wit the commercial and all, i had to try it :]. buttt i have to say i regret buying this, and i wish i didnt buy it.

this is it, and this is the same color i got (sorry i don't know the exact color name). i believe this cost around $11.

now the things i don't like i like about it:
- it creases.
- color doesn't last long enough. (barely)
- colors fade away, especially the step 2.

the second step i personally think is worse than the first. i also tried just using the first step, didn't work out either. i bought this in about, march. and i was actually disappointed about it. i used it the way it said in the packaging, and in other ways. but it just didn't work for me. not only tat, but the stick of the first step broke off! pretty sensitive. i honestly wish i didn't buy this because i feel bad not using something out (-_-). but yea i personally don't like tis product and i would not recommend. hope this review helped and any questions just ask :]

My very simple skin care system

whenver i go to youtube or look at other blogs, many gurus get their glowing/healthy skin from a bunch of products. (which i have nothing against). i mean as long as u get the results u want, i think u should be happy :]. well my system is one item.

i love this products. its pretty cheap (around $5, depending where u shop), easy to find (drug store, walmart, target), and it works. it makes my skin feel soft and helps wit acne.

-easy to find (no need to go to the mall or anything)
-works great for getting rid of acne

-it is a scrub. meaning, those wit very sensitive skin MIGHT find the beads rough.

besides tat i apply my lotion. really nothing to it :]. i TRYYY to wash my face twice a day, but i mostly do it once. whenever i take a shower in the morning is mostly when. i scrub my face wit this first, leave it on while i shampoo and such, then wash it off when I'm done.

they do have different versions of this product, i have the invigorating scrub and the acne cleaner. either way, i love them. the invigorating scrub makes my skin feel fresh.

well tats really it, i hope any of u found this helpful! :]

The Sigma Professional Brush Set

I know I'm a little late on the sigma brushes, but i still wanted to make a detailed post about them for all of my followers. So i was VERY fortunate to win these brushes thanks to Sigma, twitter and Jessica :]. Jessica, PicturesqueMakeup, held a contest for the sigma brush set, and well, i won! :]. (Go check her out on youtube and twitter.) she is a collaborator with Sigma. I was very fortunate to win this set, and i have been using these 12 brushes every single day since i received them (THANK U JESSICA AND SIGMA). There is a very big hype of these on youtube and such, and i now see why! the quality of these brushes are AMAZING! So i hope this review helps, and that all of you like it! :]. These are my own personal opinions, and i have been using these brushes for almost a month now.

For one thing, the brush roll. This is made out of some type of soft leather, it is so durable and great for travel. It's not heavy in anyway even with the brushes. it closes magnetically and its secure. great material :]. As you can see with the picture, it has a flap for the brushes. oh, and they also come with a pamphlet that shows all the brushes, what their used for, and what type of bristles their made out of (natural or synthetic). SOOO, here you go :]

NOWW, the brushes. The set comes with 12 brushes, and they are mainly the basic needs for makeup, great for those who are just starting out with makeup or those who are already professional but want a great "necessity" set. :]

-The SS150, Large Powder Brush. Great for any compact powder. SUPERRRRR SOFT!. I also use this for a loose powder. i do believe a kabuki is really made for loose powders, but either way, i believe this brush does the same job. hopefully, i try and compare one day. Its very soft, yet dense enough to still keep its shape.

-The SS187,duo fiber brush. I honestly don't know how i went on without this brush, i <3 it! It is so perfect when it comes to applying foundation. It really does give a "airbrush" look to your face. A very big necessity for my makeup application. Dense yet soft to the touch :]. I have also used this for my powder compact.

-The SS190, Foundation brush. i love how big this brush is, great to have a quick application. I don't really use this for foundation, BUT for applying moisturizers, :D love. It is not because of the brush that i don't use foundation, i just personally prefer the duo fibers for foundation. love for my lotions/moisturizers.

-The SS168, contouring brush. This brush is simply perfect for contouring. I barely need to apply any product to get the result i need, because of the brush. love when it comes to contouring my cheek bones and temples.

-The SS194, concealer brush. i love using this brush for concealing any little troubles areas i may have. for example, left over pimple scars (-_-), or any blemishes i may have. dense and soft. because of the size, i use my finger for my dark circles (the bursh is a bit small for them). but i love to apply the concealer to my dark circles using this brush either way.

-The SS219, pencil brush. Putting color under my water line is so easy now having this brush. so precise with application. i try so hard to keep its shape :]. great when i want to put color in a certain area. Also, great if you want precise application to the inner corner.

-The SS224, blending brush. This is probably the best blending brush i have ever seen/had. I love this brush, perfect blending application. So soft and great size. LOVE.

-The SS252, Large shader brush. This brush is perfect for applying primer or paint pots. any type of creamy eye products. Now, when i use eye primer, THIS is the brush i use, perfect :].

-The SS275, large angled brush. this brush is perfect for applying a highlight under my brow bone. also, great if you want to apply bigger amount of color into the inner corner.

-The SS239. I LITERALLY use this brush every single time i do eye makeup. its a perfect tool for eyeshadows on the eye lid. i also use for under the brow bone sometimes too :].

- The SS209, precise eye liner brush. I love using this brush with creamy eye liners. just wet it a little, then apply the creamy eye liner :]. really is perfect and precise. I wear eyeliners on my eye lid often.

-And finally, the SS266. i brush is the best for filling in eyebrows. its thin, dense and precise. can also use for cream eyeliner applications. :]

These are all 12 of the brushes included in this great kit! :]. Some of these brushes, like the SS239, SS187, SS150, SS168, SS224, and SS252, i use every single day, like no matter wat. I love these brushes a lot. I HIGHLY recommend to those who are just starting out wit makeup. it cost $90(w/ the brush roll) or $70(w/o brush roll, just brushes.) although, makeup professionals would definitely love these as well. the brush roll you can buy for $20 by itself.

GO TO: for more information!

now, because i love completing things, and brushes period, i am trying to get the premium kit. its currently one of my DEEP DEEEP desires, (u can see the desires blog below.) so i really hope one day to complete my brush kit. If/when i do, i will do a video and detailed blog entry for the premium kit as well :]. I want them really badly right now, it's become my new obsession. so, hopefully i do get it :[. ($150 for premium kit.)

anywayz, i hope all of you enjoyed this entry and as always, if you have any questions for me, just comment! :]. Follow me!

XOXO, Dayna.

My favorite drug store eyeliner

I wanted to make a quick blog of my favoriteeee drugstore eyeliner that i believe is just awesome. i usually buy the M.A.C eye kohl (in smolder, black) for my regular eyeliner, but when i just cant afford it, or as a backup, i buy this one. the covergirl outlast smooth-wear eyeliner. the mac eyeliner i believe is $13? and this is one cost $7.

one day during the summer, i went to the beach. all i had on, makeup wise, was sun screen, this eyeliner on my water lines, and a little bit of powder. now, i went into the water for about an hour, jumping around, putting my head in the waves, jumping into and out of the waves, i took a nap, i sun tanned with my eyes closed, and i STILL had this on my eyes when i left. i was at the beach for about 5 hours. i still had this on... i think that pretty cool. i love this eyeliner. the only con i have for this eyeliner is that, it doesn't have such a smooth application, unfortunately. i just wish it was better. besides that i love it, and is a definite for me. i recommend it. i tried many drug store eyeliners, this is definite one of my favorites. love.

well, i hoped this helped, any questions just ask. :]

Covergirl lash blast mascaras

A while ago, in the summer i believe, i bought the lash blast length, in addition to my original lash blast. and i decided to make a blog of the differences of these mascaras. hope this helps all of those who are wondering :]. oh and interesting little fact, the lash blast was the actual first product of makeup i ever had :]

the original lash blast.
(photo provided by google)

I'm pretty sure just about every makeup fanatic out there has either tried or probably already have this little beauty in their makeup collection. and honestly, i don't blame them. i love the result this mascara gives me. this is a necessity in my makeup collection and gives simply great volume and everything my lashes need. the brush is large in size, but the bristles are tiny and very close to the brush. if u look closely at the brush, the bristles farther from the wand, the bristles are even smaller then the ones that are closer to the wand. i use this part to go into the smaller lashes in the inner and outer corners of my eyes. (if u see it in real life, you'll understand wat i mean lolz)
the lash blast length
(photo provided by google)

before i bought this i was so curios about it, considering the fact that i love the last blast. and well i love it too. now, there IS a difference between the original and this length one. actually a big one. the lash blast length, does give u length, that is one of the reasons why i love it. BUT, it does not give u volume. volume is not the purpose for this mascara. this gives u length and only length. people i know have bought this and have complained, this is why i'm saying this lol. so, if u do buy this, don't expect volume, like what u would get with the original last blast. but, the length u do get is gorgeous, yet natural at the same time.

i wear the original lash blast on a daily basis, and the last blast length for the days i want to go natural.

now, photos :D

before, with nothing on my lashes.

after, with lash blast (right eye)

after, with lash blast length (left eye)

i only used one coat on each eye, no primer, and i didn't even curl my lashes.

the lash blast original is one of my favorites. in the past, i passed it on to someone else, and during that time i missed it like crazy. so now i always have one. the lash blast length i have it for the days i just don't feel like wearing much makeup. yet, i want my lashes to look great at the same time. the lash blast length formula is much lighter and not as heavy or thick as the lash blast formula. i assume, that the lash blast length (and lash blast) would work great for the women with thin lashes. like i said, i used nothing but one coat of the mascaras on my lashes, so, imagine if you actually curled your lashes or put a second coat? i don't think that these mascaras would need a primer, i personally don't recommend it. not for these mascaras.

i love both of these mascaras and they both have different purposes. overall, i love both, and i really do get length from the lash blast length, and i do get volume from the lash blast. i recommend both. like i said before, the lash blast length, DOES NOT give volume. it gives length.

well, i reallyyyy hope i helped with any questions of these mascaras. if u have anyyy questions, just leave me a comment :)

XOXO, Dayna
